Most bachelorette groups like to go out and do things during the day, whether that is going out on the town, seeing a play, or heading to the river. Then everybody comes back to the house for pizza or dinner. By then, they are tired from the day’s activities and ready to just sit down and have fun. So as the food wraps up and people get settled, it is time for the show.

The show happens right there in the living room. Michael performs near the fireplace or the coffee table, and the whole group is gathered around on the couches, wherever is comfortable. It is kind of like a big old living room book club, with everybody gathered up close. If someone already has music playing on the TV, it is great to keep that going in the background. It all stays very lighthearted and very conversational.
A bachelorette group already knows each other, so everybody is comfortable, people feel free to comment on things, and there are always inside jokes for Michael to play off of. Sometimes he has someone help out, and for whatever reason, everybody else thinks it is hilarious that she is the one helping.
Why book a magician for your bachelorette party?
Magic is fun, and Michael loves it. Having a magician at the bachelorette party has really blown up in popularity, which is great, because it gives the group something a little bit different. A lot of groups say they saw the idea on social media and wanted to reach out.
For most groups, hiring a magician is something new, so it is a really fun, unique thing to do together. Sometimes a magician is even the number one thing on the bride’s list. And when the bride loves magic, those are always the most fun parties.
One thing Michael has noticed is that when the magic is really strong, it just generates laughter. Laughing seems to be a natural response to an amazing trick. He likes for everybody to have fun, seeing something crazy, seeing something impossible, and seeing it with the people they love.
"Michael absolutely blew us away! We hired him as a surprise for our brides at their joint bachelorette and we truly had the time of our lives!!!"

The bride is the star
Obviously, it is her party, so she is the center of attention. Michael always has something special just for the bride, with a wedding theme to it.
Michael likes to hear a little bit more about the bride from whoever is planning, and often that is the maid of honor. Give him her name ahead of time, plus anyone else who should get a little extra attention, and he will be sure to include them and make them feel special.
Keeping it a surprise
Is the magician going to be a surprise for the bride, or does everybody know? If everybody knows, that is great, because knowing a magician is coming gets everyone excited.
If you want to keep it a surprise, Michael is always more than happy to accommodate. He makes sure every email and message goes straight to you. Just fill him in ahead of time on anything he should know.
When Michael arrives, he is happy to hang out in the driveway for a bit until the bride is in another room. You can just text him and say, “Hey, hold on a second, let me get everybody arranged.” Then keep her busy while he gets set up, and bring her in once everything is ready.
How it fits your bachelorette party
Before the party, Michael sends over his rider, with a little more information on what to expect and how to prepare. It also comes with a short introduction to read at the start of the show, so whoever is hosting will know exactly what to say.
On the day, Michael arrives ahead of show time, usually in the late afternoon or evening once the group is back from the day’s plans. He gets everything ready off to the side, out of the way of the party. Everything is portable and easy to carry, and setup takes about half an hour.
Once you have everybody gathered on the couches and facing the front, whoever is hosting reads Michael’s introduction, and that is when the fun starts. The show runs about fifty minutes, and after that the night carries on with whatever the group has planned.
And if your group is hungry for more, ask Michael about the after party package, where he has something special for the guests after the show ends.
What you are paying for
When you hire a magician, you are paying for the magic and for the experience and professionalism that go into helping you organize the party. That includes:
- A performer who has done a lot of bachelorette parties and knows what works best for a group of friends in a living room.
- Over a decade of performing professionally and thinking on his feet. Michael reads the room and plays off the group, so the show is catered to the friends who are there.
- Someone who works out the details with you: the timing, the surprise, and the introduction your host reads. Michael keeps your homework to a minimum.
- Liability insurance. If your rental or venue asks for proof, Michael can send a certificate of insurance at a moment’s notice.
Pricing is flexible. It depends on what Michael is doing, the guest count, the type of event, how long he performs, and the date. Michael's events can range anywhere from under $1,000 to $3,000 and up.

Questions about bachelorette party magic shows
How long is a bachelorette party magic show?
About fifty minutes. It is a little give or take, because people come up and help out. The full fifty minutes is what works best for a bachelorette party, and Michael also has twenty-minute and thirty-minute versions.
What kind of magic will we see?
A mix of magic, mind reading, and comedy. Some of it is more magic, some of it is more mind reading, and there are jokes throughout, so there is something for everybody. Things appear out of nowhere, choices match a prediction that was in plain view the whole time, and the mind reading is all played as a game.
What size group is the show for?
Ten to fifteen people is typical, and smaller groups work well too. A ballpark number is all Michael needs to start planning, and it is fine if it changes as the weekend comes together.
Can Michael perform at our Airbnb or rental house?
Yes. That is where most bachelorette parties are held, and the living room usually works great.
Can Michael perform in a private room at a restaurant?
Yes. If your group is going out to dinner and has a private room at the restaurant, Michael can come in after the meal and do the show there.
What do we need to set up, and is our living room big enough?
Nothing. As long as there is a little space at the front of the room and everybody is comfortable on the couches, that all works well. Michael brings his own small table, and in a living room, no sound system is needed.
What time should the show start?
In the evening, once everyone is back at the house and dinner is wrapping up. After a day at the beach, that might be around eight or eight thirty, once the sun has set, and a lot of groups like to go later. An afternoon or early evening show works too.
Which night of the weekend works best?
Friday or Saturday night, usually. Most bachelorette weekends run from Thursday night to Sunday morning, and weeknights work well for Michael too.
Can the magician be a surprise for the bride?
Yes. Everything goes through whoever is planning, and on the day, Michael waits out of sight until you are ready to bring the bride in.
Can the show be personalized for the bride?
Yes. Give Michael the bride’s name ahead of time, and he will make her the star of the show, with something special just for her.
Will everyone get to be involved?
Yes. Every trick has somebody participating in some way and helping out, and some moments happen right from the couch. People always love the part they participated in.
Is the show clean?
Yes. Everything Michael does is totally clean. It is all family friendly, more sarcastic and tongue-in-cheek than anything, and it is funnier that way.
Is it okay if our group gets loud?
Yes, and Michael encourages it. When a group is hooting and hollering and making jokes, that is always a lot of fun.
We do not have the exact address yet. Is that okay?
Yes. Knowing the general city is good enough to start planning, and the exact address gets confirmed before the event.
How far ahead should we book a bachelorette party magician?
Two to three months out is common. Bachelorette season runs right alongside wedding season in the spring and early summer, and Friday and Saturday nights go first. The date is locked in once the performance agreement is signed and the invoice is paid.
How much does a magician for a bachelorette party cost?
Pricing is flexible. It depends on what Michael is doing, the guest count, the type of event, how long he performs, and the date. Michael's events can range anywhere from under $1,000 to $3,000 and up.
